Mangaluru: Srinivas College conducts national level conference

Mangaluru, Oct 17: A national conference on the theme 'Innovative practices in IT, management, education and social sciences' was conducted on October 17. Dr Ramakrishna Shabaraya, director and principal, Srinivas College of Pharmacy, Valachil, Mangaluru was the chief guest.

In his inaugural address he opined, "Innovative research should be encouraged and applied practically to benefit the people at large which will provide satisfaction through scientifice enquiry." Dr Praveen, department of chemistry, Srinivas School of Engineering, Mukka, Mangaluru was the guest of honour and delivered the key-note address. In his speech he highlighted various funding agencies and procedures to avail funding worldwide for active research works and publications. Dr P S Aithal, principal, SIMS, presided over the function. The convener prof Amith Menezes introduced the theme of the conference. Prof N S Kumar, coordinator of MBA programme welcomed the gathering. Prof R K Acharya, MBA department was the master of ceremony and prof Priti Jeevan proposed the vote of thanks.

The proceedings of the earlier conference MANEGMA - 2015 were released along with the abstract proceedings of this conference. The research scholars and teaching faculty from various colleges from different states presented the papers at the conference. Around 60 research papers were presented at the conference. All the papers presented will be published after review in the international journal along with ISBN proceedings.
