Mumbai, Oct 16 (IANS): Two schools from India feature in the 2015 rankings of The Economist of best business schools in the world. They are IIM Ahmedabad, a 50-year-old legacy institution and SP Jain School of Global Management, a 11-year-old school.
The ranking places the SP Jain in the company of Ivy League schools like Chicago Business School, Harvard, MIT, Sloan, Kellogg, Wharton and other great international schools. Just six weeks earlier SP Jain was ranked by Forbes as the 10th Best International 1 Year MBA in the world. For the last five of the 11 years, SP Jain has been ranked among the best schools in the world, a release from its Mumbai campus said.
Speaking on the latest rankings, Nitish Jain, president of the SP Jain School of Global Management, said: "When the School was first ranked internationally around five years ago, it came as a surprise to many, since the School was not well known within India or abroad. Now, five years of consistent rankings have placed the School among the best business schools in the world…. We have reimagined business education and this is what produces graduates that are much sought after by the industry. The rankings vindicate that the new model really works."
