Hyderabad, Oct 14 (IANS): Terra Firma Projects, the farm to table organic firm, on Wednesday announced launch of first Quinoa ready-to-cook Terra Greens upma mix.
Quinoa, the ancient grain considered to be a complete plant-based protein, is a nutritious alternative to couscous and rice in most recipes.
Terra Greens Quinoa upma mix is the eighth in the series of breakfast mix products launched by the Hyderabad-based company.
Terra Firma's CEO Likitha Bhanu told reporters that Quinoas take very little time to prepare and can be substituted to whole grains.
Launched in 2013, the firm has already launched 100 products, including variety of cereals, pulses, spices, oils, sweeteners, beverages and ready-to-cook breakfast mixes.
The company has presence in 16 states with its products available in over 300 stores.
It has organic farms under a network with 2,000 farmers. The number of partnering farmers is expected to go up to 10,000 by the end of 2016.
The firm run by lady entrepreneurs is growing at 300 percent year on year. With ambitious expansion plans, it aims to cross a turnover of Rs.15 crore during the current financial year.
