Udupi, Oct 14: MLA Pramod Madhwaraj addressed the issue of released funds for the renovation of backward class community bhavans and churches at the press meet held at taluk panchayat office, here on Tuesday October 13 for temple committee members of the constituency.






Madhwaraj said that nearly Rs 5.38 lac has been released in his two year term. From 2013-14, Rs 2.40 lac was sanctioned towards the construction of backward class community bhavan.

Rajya Sabha member Oscar Fernandes said that there is need to strengthen the social, judicial and economic system. In a democratic country there is need to consider how much of the facilities meet the public need, especially the backward class.

He informed that education and health are a child's basic requirements. There is need to discuss the requirements of the deprived class and to meet the requirements of the specially challenged people in society. Our district has stood first in all sectors in the state.

He also added that it is possible for anything to be achieved if everyone works within their parameter.

Fernandes stressed on the need to work hard in order for Karnataka to attain the highest position.

Harish Gaonkar, district officer of OBC, SC and ST development departments was present at the meeting.
