Udupi, Oct 9: A two day state-level photographers’ sammelana and international level exhibition cum sale was held as part of the valedictory ceremony ‘Rajatha Sambrama- 2015’ of South Kanara Photographers' Association at Ammanni Ramanna Shetty auditorium, here on Friday October 9.
Nadoja G Shankar inaugurated the programme by lighting the lamp, while Sandalwood music director, actor and singer Gurukiran inaugurated the exhibition. His presence added flavor to the event.
Nadoja addressing the gathering said, "Ten years back people had a different notion about photography, but now it is much advanced."
Let the SKPA members address the grievances of the poor and needy families.
He called for oneness among them towards a common cause. "Let us work together to draw the attention of the government. I am always with the team."
If an organization grows strong, then the needy can get the required basic infrastructure. He expressed his wish that the district will always remain as undivided Dakshina Kannada forever.
Former Lion governor Suresh Pabhu promised that the burns ward at district hospital Ajjarkad will get the required equipment within a month.
Old model cameras, accessories, new branded models were exhibited under the guidance of photographer Astro Mohan.
A two-wheeler rally was flagged off by superintendent of police Annamalai at Clock Tower.
Annamalai appreciated the programme and said that he was very happy to be there. This was the fifth programme he attended which was organized by SKPA at a different place.
Jayakar Shetty Indrali, general manger of Badagabettu Credit Co-operative Society, Jayakar Suvarna, president, DWJAU, Vittal Chauta Mangaluru, district convener, Padma Prasad Jain, vice president, Shashidhar, president of Karnataka photographers association, Vilas Naik, chairman of Hanuman group of companies, Udupi, Janardhan Kodavoor and others were present.
