Shivan and Narresh get the beach in Delhi

New Delhi, Oct 8 (IANS): Designer duo Shivan Bhatiya and Narresh Kukreja impressed one and all at the Amazon India Fashion Week (AIFW) Spring Summer 2016 with their new holiday line that also consisted of jewelled garments.

The off-site show at the lawn of The Imperial hotel here on Wednesday truly set the mood for a relaxed holiday minus the distracting mosquitoes.

The spring-summer 2016 collection took forward the artistic language of Mexican artist Diego Rivera and infused its spirit in a Mediterranean mood for holidays and honeymoon.

The collection, presented in association with kitchen and bathroom specialist Kohler, gelled with the look of the models who seemed to be sweating it out on a beach.

With colour palette that ranged between terracotta, herb green, aqua pink and more, the line had maillot with leather panel, one-shoulder bikini, ruched skirt, day dress, colour-blocked blouse, pencil skirt, neoprene lehenga with Diego motifs, jewelled jumpsuit and blouse with embellished saris.

"We wanted to see how jewelled outfits would look. That's why we included them in this collection, " Narresh told reporters after the show.

The flip flops or the gladiators or wedges added to the sultry looks of the models who walked with confidence despite a prop falling apart on their special runway that was made for the outdoor show.
