New Delhi, Oct 5 (IANS): Internationally acclaimed Indian designer Rahul Mishra will present an installation from his Paris Fashion Week Spring-Summer 2016 collection as part of Amazon India Fashion Week (AIFW) Spring-Summer 2016 on October 11 at the French embassy.
The Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI) -- organisers of the fashion extravaganza -- announced that an installation of Mishra's Paris Fashion Week Spring-Summer 2016 ensembles will be done at the French embassy on October 11, between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., said a statement.
This is a part of the FDCI’s initiative to celebrate true heroes, who are steadily inching towards global glory in the fashion world.
François Richier, ambassador of France to India, will host the showcasing of the installation.
“Rahul is a maverick, he has succeeded in showing the strength of Indian craftsmanship, through the play of leaves used ingeniously as a recurring emblem. We hope the select few invitees enjoy this visual treat at the AIFW SS ‘16,” said FDCI president Sunil Sethi.
The five-day fashion event AIFW is starting here on Wednesday.
