Mumbai, Oct 1 (IANS): The attention garnered by Meghna Gulzar's "Talvar", a small budget film on the Aarushi Talwar murder case, has led to a demand of paid previews in multiplexes a day before it hits the screens.
The distributors of "Talvar" are said to have received requests from multiplexes who are keen to hold premiere shows of the film, which was lauded at the Toronto International Film Festival.
Obliging to the demands, the film's makers are to showcase the film to the audience via late night previews of the film on Thursday.
"This would mark to be the first time that a small budget film would be holding a preview catering to public demand," said a source aware of the development.
"Talvar" co-producer Priti Shahani confirmed the news and added: "We are very excited to hold paid previews of the film on October 1."
Even Shahid Kapoor is curious to see the film.
"I am curious to see in which angle the story has been presented. I think the entire country is waiting for to watch the movie," Shahid said at a recent event here.
The film also features performers like Irrfan Khan, Konkona Sen Sharma, Neeraj Kabi and Sohum Shah.
