Davis Cup: Devvarman levels contest at 1-1 against Czech Republic

New Delhi, Sep 18 (IANS): A brilliant win by tennis ace Somdev Devvarman over Jiri Vesely helped India level the Davis Cup World Group Playoff tie against Czech Republic at 1-1 at the Delhi Lawn Tennis Association (DLTA) complex here on Friday.

Somdev won the match 7-6(3), 6-4, 6-3 in two hours and 44 minutes in the second singles rubber.

Earlier in the day, Yuki Bhambri lost to Lukas Rosol in three straight sets.
