Mangalore, Jul 8: A woman was found dead in suspicious circumstances in a paddy field at Panjaguttu in Padushedde village on Sunday July 8 morning.

The deceased woman has been identified as Sumati (40), daughter of Sheenkra here. But, her brother Monappa stated in the complaint that she was working as housemaid here. While she was on her way to in the morning, she collapsed.

The locals have expressed suspicions about the circumstances of her death. Kavoor police have registered the case and initiated the probe.

Person Found Dead

Puttur: A person was found dead in unnatural circumstances at Nadoli in Kutrupadi village on Sunday July 8 morning.

The deceased person has been identified as Vittal Bhat Gokhale (46), a cook by profession.

Vittal Bhat was suffering from blood pressure and he had been to a certain Karunakar Bhat's house on Saturday night on a cooking assignment. They found him dead in bed on Sunday morning. A case has been registered at Kadaba police station.

Suicide

A person ended his life at Nekkilagudde in Derebail on Saturday July 7 night.

The deceased person has been identified as Keshava (45). He is said to have been suffering from fever for the last two days. When his wife came to attend to him t 4 am on Sunday, Keshava was found hanging from the roof with noose made of nylon rope.

A case has been registered at Kavoor police station.
