Mangalore, Jul 7: Out of 7 posts the INTUC ( Indian National Trade Union Congress) has won 6 posts in the MICO Employees Union in Bangalore.
N M Adyanthaya, INTUC's state president has now been elected the new president of the Union. He defeated VGK Nair of CITUC and Subba Rao of AITUC in the election to the post of the president of the Union.
Rakesh Malli, the president of the Dakshina Kannada (INTUC) pointed out that for the past 25 years the communist parties had been winning in this union election and this was the first time after many years that INTUC has won.
