Mangalore, Jul 4: District NSUI unit has stated that Shree Krishna College at Karangalpady which comes within the jurisdiction of Mangalore Varsity lacks basic amenities and hence students of the college must be given permission to admit themselves to other colleges.
The said college runs BCA courses and for the last few years. But this year there has been no permission for fresh batch. But classes for the second and third years are going on without basic amenities like computer lab, library, principal as well as lectures.
The college has many problems which can be solved only with the interference of Mangalore University, stated Tejaswi Raj, district president of National Students Union of India (NSUI) in a press release here on Wednesday July 4.
The future of students is affected due to the negligence and lack of interest of the management, he added.
The students are not allowed to join other college as the management is not ready to hand over transfer certificate to them, he further stated.
He also said that a complaint has been lodged to the vice-chancellor of the University against the management regarding the issue and urged the vice-chancellor that students should be transferred to other colleges soon.
