Udupi, Sep 7: Harbour friends Malpe organized Muddu Krishna and hulivesha dance competition as part of Sri Krishna Janmashtami at Kediyoor Yogish Amin platform, Malpe circle here on Saturday, September 5.
Nadoja G Shankar inaugurated the programme.He thanked the harbour friends circle for organizing such programme and also acknowledged friends' circle gratitude by giving financial assistance to closely associated four poor families, who passed away in various incidents.
Yashpal Suvarna, President of Harbour friends welcomed the gathering.
Muddu Krishna contest was held between different age segments.
Beautiful kids were dressed up as Bala Krishna and danced to music as per their parents’ instruction, imitated eating butter from the pot, by playing flute and so on.
A cultural programme was performed by national level dance troupe and various tiger troupes entertained the people by their vigorous dancing in participating Hulivesha competition.
Pratham S Salian (commerce) received honour from the Malpe friends, who has scored top marks in Udupi district and second place in State in PUC examination.
The winners of the Muddu Krishna fancy dress in below two year were Suvira Krishna, Daksh, Arya G Bhat bagged first, second and third prizes respectively.
The winner of the age between 2-4 category was Nethri, age between 4-6 category were as Hithen Shetty, Samanvi, Rithwik hold the second and third prizes respectively.
The all winners have received cash prizes and some of the contestants have got consolation prizes.
