Mangaluru, Sep 7: Usha (22), a second year MBBS student of a medical college here has been reported missing since September 4.
Reportedly, Usha, who attended the first clinical class which began at 11.30 am on September 4, disappeared under mysterious circumstances thereafter. She neither returned to her rented home at Derebail in the city for lunch nor was available for contact. After reasonable searches failed to make any headway in finding her, her elder brother, Prabhu S, who is a final year MBBS student here, filed a missing complaint in Kadri police station.
It is learnt that Usha, daughter of Selvaraj from Tamil Nadu, stayed with her elder brother, who is a final year MBBS student, at the said rented accommodation. Her physical features have been given as round face, long hair, a small injury mark on forehead, and complexion that is oily with shade of red. She was wearing a red Churidar when leaving home, and wore gold chain and ear ring. She can converse in English and Tamil.
It is gathered that Selvaraj had admitted all his three children to medical colleges in the city. Although there were rumours that a youth had abducted the girl, the policemen denied any knowledge of this development. They clarified that the complainant has not mentioned any suspicion about abduction of the girl student.
