Mumbai, Aug 27 (IANS): Come Friday, and a tech team that led a flashmob on road safety will be accompanying the Mumbai traffic police every Friday and Saturday till September 15, giving out vouchers to shun drinking and driving and opting for a chauffeur service for returning home post a party.
"If you're planning to drink and chill, then you also need to plan on how to get back home. We at Taskbob believe in making lives easier and better and we want to promote road safety through our campaign," Aseem Khare, CEO and founder, of the tech company that has developed an app-based on-demand instant home service.
It all began thanks to a flashmob organised at Carter Road in Bandra here last Sunday that grabbed the Mumbai traffic police's attention as complementing its campaign for promoting road safety and urging people to desist from driving after drinking.
The flashmob, which was led by Taskbob's team, was telecast live on the fame app, a platform for talent to be streamed live.
“It’s pleasant to see corporate coming up and helping the police force in educating people about the ill-effects of drinking and driving. On behalf of my team, I would like to congratulate Taskbob's team on their success with this event and thank them for taking up the cause as a responsible corporate citizen of the country,” traffic police joint commissioner Milind Rambhau Bharambe, said in a statement.
