Los Angeles, Aug 27 (IANS): Reality TV star Caitlyn Jenner shared that she keeps her Olympic gold medal in her make-up drawer and it is her most prized possession.
The 65-year-old star, who was known as Bruce Jenner before undergoing gender transition in May, won the men's decathlon at the 1976 Summer Olympics and considers the medal as her most prized possession.
"My gold medal is my most prized possession - I'm so proud of it," the “I Am Cait” star said at her weekly series of editorials 'The Real Me' that talks about issues and people in the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) community, reports mirror.co.uk.
But Jenner does not display the medal at home because she does not want her children to feel under pressure to achieve a similar level of success.
Jenner has two teenage daughters Kendall, 19, and Kylie, 18.
"I never wanted my children to feel like they had to have a gold medal in order to be considered a success. I didn't want them to constantly compare their own achievements to my time in the Olympics, so I haven't displayed my medal. Here's why it currently lives in my make-up drawer," Jenner said.
