Emirati doner donates Dh21 million to charity


Dubai, Aug 13 (Emirates 247):  An Emirati philanthropist has generously supported the charitable, humanitarian and social projects of Dar Al Ber Society, DABS, with a donation of Dh21 million.

The philanthropist donated Dh4.5 million for building a mosque that accommodates up to 800 worshippers in the Shamkha region, and contributed Dh8.5 million for building an Islamic center behind the Dragon Mart in Dubai, according to a top official of DABS.

"The benefactor also donated Dh8 million for paying the debts of eligible defaulters, and supported many other charity projects run by Dar Al Ber," said Khalfan Khalifa Al Mazrouie, Chairman of the society.

Paying tributes to the generous donor, Mazrouie supplicated Almighty Allah to protect the UAE leadership, and keep the country safe, secure, stable and prosperous.

"It is as affirmed by Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) who was reported as saying, ‘One may only be duly thankful to Allah by showing gratitude to good doers’, and ‘The best of you is the most helpful to others’."

"The UAE people are known for their readiness to help anyone in need for assistance as always set and urged by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and his sons, and in line with the directives of the President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and the exemplary models of generosity of Their Highnesses the Supreme Council Members and Rulers of the Emirates," said Mazrouie.

"Dar Al Ber Society spares no effort to help all entities and individuals of the country, support eligible beneficiaries, and raise the fixed monthly allowances across the country as per its 36-year-old vision and strategy so that the UAE remains on top of donors worldwide," he added.
