Los Angeles, Aug 13 (IANS): US hip-hop recording artist Busta Rhymes is being investigated by police for allegedly threatening to bite a fan at the Black Entertainment Television awards in June.
The 43-year-old rapper is being investigated by police because of the incident, in which he reportedly told a woman he would "bite" her if she bumped into him and charged at her at the event on June 28, reports tmz.com.
Kim Simpson claims she was dancing with her friend near the rapper at Microsoft Theater here and attempted to apologize for bumping into him.
The “Pass the courvoisier” hitmaker allegedly retorted with a warning that he would "bite" them if it happened again.
"I'll bite you and not that kinda bite,” he said.
The situation escalated when the women were taking photographs with reality TV star Deelishis, and the rapper was caught on camera, at which point he reportedly said "Don't make me slap you" and charged at them.
Police are now attempting to interview the rapper as part of a criminal investigation.
