Mangaluru, Aug 6: “Continued improvement in skill and study along with talent enables one to obtain jobs in leading companies. The students should upgrade their knowledge base continuously ”, said Belgaum Vishweswaraya Technological Institute vice chancellor Dr Maheshappa.
He was speaking after participating in Fresher’s Day programme at P A Engineering College, Konaje on Thursday August 6.
“Talented and educated people decades ago had to inevitably go to foreign countries and distant places searching for jobs. As the times changed, well known companies come to the college campus and appoint the students in their companies. However, only talented students can obtain such jobs. Improve your knowledge and excel in studies in institutes such as P A College which has excellent facilities and guidance from highly qualified faculty”.
P A Engineering College president Dr P Abdulla Ibrahim who presided over the programme, and said that the college has provided all the necessary facilities in the college and called on the students to make use of them with greater dreams.
Speaking on the occasion, Deralakatte Yenepoya University Examinations registrar professor K P Jayarajan said, "It was not sufficient to dream alone but try to achieve them. The students should make studies as their main aim. Impediments are common but it is necessary to get over them. Only then can we reach our goal”.
Mangaluru A J Institute's Dr Ravish Thunga A, vice principal Dr Ramiz M K, Academic director professor Sarfaraz Hasim J, administration official Dr R G D' Souza, K M Hanif, P A Lathif, MBA division's Dr Beeran Moidin were present.
Professor A K Kulkarni, Biotechnology department's Dr Krishna Prasad, Civil Engineering department's Dr Rajesh G D'Souza, CS/IS department's Dr Sharmila Kumari, EC/TE department's Professor Abdulla Gubbi gave necessary information.
