Kundapur, Jul 28: The police have arrested a youth for allegedly luring, kidnapping and sexually assaulting a minor girl for over three days.
The accused, Ravi (28), a resident of Jogibettu in Kavradi, was arrested by the Kundapur police in Sagar on Monday July 27.
It is alleged that Ravi sexually assaulted the girl, his neighbour at Kavradi, on the pretext of being in love with her. He also allegedly took her to some other place and sexually harassed her.
The girl went missing on July 23, after which her brother filed a complaint in the police station. The Kundapur police who took up the investigation arrested Ravi at his grandmother's house in Sagar. The girl, who was also found there, has been brought back to Kundapur.
The accused has been booked under POCSO Act. He has been produced in court and sent to judicial custody.
