Mangaluru, Jul 27: A person who left home, telling other family members that he would be back after visiting his son who had been admitted into a hospital in the city, went missing under mysterious circumstances. A complaint has been filed in Kadri police station here by the wife of the missing man in this connection.
Vishwanath (66), a resident of Kadri New Temple Road in the city, had left home to visit his son at the hospital. It is gathered that Vishwanath's son, Raghava Prasad, had been admitted into Athena Hospital in the city on July 25, and the father had left home the same evening. However, he neither reached the hospital, nor returned home, said his daughter-in-law, Ashajyoti, in her complaint delivered in Kadri police station.
Ashajyoti said her father-in-law left home at around 5 pm on July 25, never to be seen again. She added that all efforts were made, and searches were conducted, to find out the whereabouts of her missing father-in-law, but they went futile.
The police said that Vishwanath is 5'11" tall, is dark complexioned, with medium build and round face. He knows Kannada, English and Tulu. Those having any information about him have been requested to contact the city east police station (0824-2220520).
