Sebastian had complained to the warden about her hostel room on July 17. On July 25, instead of going to the college from her hostel room, she moved directly on Mangaluru-Moodbidri road. This was evident from the footage recorded in the closed circuit television cameras.

As her passport and other documents need sometime for completion of certain processes, it is learnt she cannot leave the country easily. There are possibilities of her renting a room in a hotel, or holding discussions with the concerned about arranging private air tickets or visa, the policemen said.

They added that the missing student is about 5.6 inches tall, is of wheatish complexion, and can converse in English and Sinhala languages. The police have requested the general public having any information about here whereabouts to convey the same to Moodbidri station (08258-236333, 9480802314) of office of the police commissioner (0824-2220801, 2220800).

The college involved must be collecting huge sums without providing basic amenities to the foreign students, which needs to be investigated first, as the article says the student had complained to the warden, before making all kind of guesswork and rumors on DW.

We are all guessing in this missing case of Sri Lankan student from the hostel.

However, so far the news has to say that it is guessed that the student would have left her room, as she thought it does not have facilities up to the level of her expectations. She has also complained to the warden about her hostel room and later moved to Mangalore – Moodbidri Road.

Based on these statements, it seems she is smart – did not want to continue in the hostel anymore.

Anyway, truth will come out very soon.

    @ R. Nayak,
You are well aware how innocent girls are lured or taken advantage and we have come across so many such incidents and my opinion was only likelihood or based on previous incidents.
Let us wait for police investigation. As you said I watch, CID, Code Red and other criminal shows on Life ok TV on a regular basis.

Without the support of some local guy(?) she would not have dared to move on her own. Both would be caught soon.
