Mangaluru, Jul 27: A missing complaint stands lodged in the Moodbidri police station relating to the disappearance of a student of Sri Lankan origin from her hostel room. The 26-year-old missing student was undergoing hotel management course in a college in Moodbidri.
It is guessed that the student would have left her room, as she thought it does not have facilities up to the level of her expectations. The name of the student has been given at Sattambiralage Don Nimnatarushi Sebastian.
Sebastian had complained to the warden about her hostel room on July 17. On July 25, instead of going to the college from her hostel room, she moved directly on Mangaluru-Moodbidri road. This was evident from the footage recorded in the closed circuit television cameras.
As her passport and other documents need sometime for completion of certain processes, it is learnt she cannot leave the country easily. There are possibilities of her renting a room in a hotel, or holding discussions with the concerned about arranging private air tickets or visa, the policemen said.
They added that the missing student is about 5.6 inches tall, is of wheatish complexion, and can converse in English and Sinhala languages. The police have requested the general public having any information about here whereabouts to convey the same to Moodbidri station (08258-236333, 9480802314) of office of the police commissioner (0824-2220801, 2220800).
