First of all there is the need to educate the RTO in international traffic rules and standard secondly implement the strict rule and heavy penalty for violation. Thirdly two Wheeler speed to be controlled and always be permitted only in slow tracks and big vehicles not supposed to over take small vehicles.

In such negligent case mob around the accident site should break the legs driver and make unable to drive in future. this will create a fear amongst the driver that vicinity and reduce the accident and save many lives.

R T O .Have you travelled on any 2 lane road like Mangalore-Udupi highway!?. All vehicles compulsorily should always be on the left most lane and must move to the right lane only to overtake not exceeding the maximum speed limit!. But all slow moving vehicles are always on the right most lane including Buses, trucks, and even police vehicles(I have seen). That's a clear violation of law because when you don't allow the vehicle behind you to overtake from the right side!. Can the police put instructions on the highway about the same!?

RTO is busy in bribes they don't have time to educate people about traffic rules nor any upgrades in issuing driving licence.. its better to shut down the department which is indirectly responsible for so many deaths.. i repeat again.. blood money or sharia law is the only justice to the deceased family.. strict law ll control speed. even i have lost my brother in a road accident.. reckless driver is enjoying his life without any.....

You are right, When the officers of some government departments like this Road transport dept busy in making money as if it is their right to take bribes to do any work, where is the time for them to control vehicles and minimize accidents. There is no difference between bribe taking officers and thieves and robbers. Only thing is that so called these government officers taking bribe getting respect and enjoying the facilities provided to them by the government. Disgusting officers who sit in big chairs to make money rather than to do service.

Too many young lives are being lost every other day for the simple reason that nobody is ready to follow any traffic rules. They become kings of all that they survey. It is a nightmare even to go in a four wheeler. Traffic violations are galore.unless heavy fines are levied and licenses seized nothing else will work.It is very disturbing to read when so many young men and children are being killed and read it in the news everyday. It is real time for strict action.

Very sad,two lives are gone just because of some truck Driver couldn't wait and not followed rules.Even best roads will not help when riders are careless .They only want to overtake, whatever on the road is.Next Point is in such a Moment where someone lost life,is sad enough, but some people are so much busy taking Fotos with mobiles (except Police or Reporters)of deadbody taking into van.May God forgive them.Is it so important?should we not pay a bit respect at this aspect? Are we not so much educated or grown up?May the souls of Young men rest in peace and to Family my heartfelt sympathies.

Slow moving vehicles on right lane is not just seen in Mangalore, they were seen every where on Indian roads. Heavy fines should be imposed by as and when these violators are seen on the road. 60% of road accidents are happening only because of these right side moving slow vehicles which makes fast moving vehicles to go zig-zag during which these accidents are happening.

The problem arises because many vehicles unaware or don't care attitude always move on in the right of a two lane road!. All government buses do the same!. They don't even give the way even if honked and then other vehicles are forced to overtake from left which is a blind spot for the frong vehicle. Even the bus in question even though not involved in accident is equally responsible for not moving on the left. Police are busy with other things! . All drivers involved in such accidents have to be made to go through a compulsory and rigorous driving test and exams after they come out of the punishment. Also owners have to bear all the cost of such training as they are the ones who are minting money by hook or Crook!

Majority of the fish truck drivers thinks that they are Schumacher and speed very dangerously with the excuse that the fish will decay if delayed. They don't care for the traffic rules and spill dirty fish water from the truck that spray to the vehicles tailing their trucks. Unfortunately our RTO is in effect and highly corrupt. It is a strange phenomenon in our highways that the overloaded and slow moving trucks move on the fast track first carriageway and the speedy cars either drag behind these slow moving monsters or overtake them from wrong side because they stick to the first carriageway. Is it not the responsibility of RTO to guide these ignorant truck drivers to use the second or third carriageways and not the first. If they don't obey after the deadline, detain the trucks and suspend the truck drivers licence after two challans. ROAD TRANSPORT OFFICIALS, YOU ARE PAID TO ACT. PLEASE DISCHARGE YOUR DUTY RESPONSIBLY AND HONESTLY.

Most often when I peep into the news column of Daiji, invariably I hit upon similar news of motor cycle borne young men’s lives simply getting snuffed off either due to their or others fault. These accidents have repeatedly repeating ‘KAL, AAJ OUR KAL” again and again and again. This must stop and the only way is strict law enforcement and deployment of HONEST traffic police force in large measure all over to stem this malady.

Unless the case is registered under IPC 302 this is not going to stop. We say we are so intelligent around the world but our law system still failed to recognize what is murder and what is accident. Law makers and politicians and general public lets respect souls departed so far and pressurize law makers to bring this kind reckless drive and killing cases under 302. its nothing but a murder.

While I agree with you that lots of bikers flout the rules of the road, so do drivers of vans, trucks and buses of every description. In this instance the fault was clearly that of the lousy van driver. In fact, overtaking from the left and then being taken by surprise by a vehicle ahead is an all too often cause of accidents. The problem will therefore not be solved by banning motorbikes, but rather issuing licenses only after rigorous testing of drivers, as also severely punishing offenders.

very sad news to read. After widening highway people drive as they are in race track no proper sign board or cut on road very important is local track and wrong overtaking from left side.

Highway authorities should install camera's to fine over speeding vehicles and should let a speed limit.

Over all may God save people on our roads.

Thanks to Mr.Suri who always rush from Kapu to all the accident spots. We can see in all this pics Suri Anna is taking dead bodies to ambulance.

Very sad news to read. Recently I traveled from udipi to Mangaluru, observed that almost 90% of highway work is completed except little in pangala and more in pudubidri. I hope that will completed soon. But despite this development of widening roads accident take place may be riders/drivers are not following traffic rules. Our heartfelt condolence to the families departed souls.
