'Dhand' becomes first Tulu movie to release in Australia, more shows planned in Mumbai

Mangaluru, Jul 23: Sandhya Creations' second venture, 'Dhand', starring Arjun Kapikad, Sandeep Shetty and Anoop Sagar was recently released in Australia and Mumbai. The first Tulu movie to release in Australia, 'Dhand' has earned an overwhelming response from the Tulu speaking community in Perth and Melbourne.

Talking to the media during 'Dhand' preview show at Mumbai, producer Shodhan Prasad said, "Dhand has been entertaining the audience in Mangluru and Udupi and I am proud to be the producer of a movie which has become the first Tulu film to release in Australia.

"We are encouraged by the support for our Boisar show in Mumbai, and have planned to arrange more shows in Mira Road, Dadar, Borivili, Sion, Mulund, Dombivili, Thane, Vaashi and Naashik on August 2. Tulu Movie lovers can call 09741928170 for tickets and other details," Shodhan Prasad added.

'Dhand' is also much-awaited in UAE and other Gulf countries. It is also the first time Shodhan Prasad has acted in an important role of a movie, and his performance has been appreciated by the audience all over. Deepak Paladka, who is already popular among comedy lovers has done a good job in the movie. Anoop Sagar has done a commendable job in the negative role. Sandeep Shetty Manibettu, who has a large fan base across UAE. Keeping all this in mind, Dhand team is planning to release the movie soon in the Gulf regions too.

Ranjith Bajpe, the director of the award winning movie 'Nirel' has written and directed 'Dhand', while Abhishek S N has done the music direction and background music which has been much appreciated.

'Dhand' is the first movie to highlight the issue of drug abuse among youth and by way of spreading a social message through entertaining comedy, the movie has worked well.
