Mangaluru, Jul 22: Satyajit Suratkal of Hindu Jagarana Vedike (HJV) on Wednesday July 22 hit out at Ullal Congress block president Ishwar Ullal for his remarks that Hindu organizations had 'taken money' to 'settle' the case of harassment of a female doctor in Deralakatte, which had taken place in December 2013.
Ishwar Ullal had levelled this allegation in a press meet at Thokkottu on July 20, in response to a protest by VHP, Bajrang Dal and HJV against health minister U T Khader held the same day.
Addressing a press meet here, Satyajit Suratkal said, "Ullal Block Congress president Ishwar Ullal has made a false accusation against Hindu organizations. If he has any proof then let him expose it and reveal who has taken money. Or else he should issue an unconditional apology for levelling a false accusation against Hindu organizations."
He further said, "To protect their MLA, Congress is levelling this false allegation against Hindu organizations. Ishwar Ullal without having any authentic information about the Deralakatte incident is accusing the Hindu organizations of taking money to settle the incident. The case is in court, and police have submitted the chargesheet to the court.
"Hindu Jagarana Vedike and pro-Hindu organizations protested against U T Khader over the repeated attacks on Hindu youths in the vicinity of Ullal. Though a series of incidents like stabbing, theft and cattle trafficking have been taking place in the vicinity of Ullal, why is the MLA (U T Khader) not questioned this or demanded proper action? He is an MLA for the entire constituency."
He also said that in future pro-Hindu organization will hold a series of protests in Ullal constituency and also protest in front U T Khader's residence, until peace is restored in Ullal. "All we want is peace in the Ullal," he said.
"After the Deralakatte incident, the institution sacked the doctor. He is presently working in another hospital which has close connection to the MLA," he alleged.
On this occasion Amith Yeyyadi, Kishor Kumar, Subash Padil and Prakash were present.
