Udupi, Jul 20: Initial leadership training for YCS students of Shirva Deanery was held on July 19 at Holy Cross Church Pamboor. The programme started at 10 am with the inaugural ceremony.
The program was inaugurated by filling of the flower vase with flowers. Prakash Noronha vice president of Pamboor parish council, Asuntha D'souza secretary of Pamboor parish council, animator of Pamboor YCS unit Saritha Alva, resource person Norbert Misquith Surathkal, YCS president of Shirva Deanery Vencilla and secretary Lizia Noronha were present.
Prakash Noronha addressing the students advised them to be aware of the happenings around them, to be good leaders and to serve our country.
Lizia Noronha proposed the vote of thanks. Miss Lavita compered the programme.
Norbert Misquith conducted an ice breaking session and then the seminar about the goals of YCS were conducted by the diocese YCS council members. Norbert Misquith spoke on leadership and also conducted group games. T
The deanery YCS director Fr Paul Rego was also present during the training program. The animators of the various YCS units were also present for the training. Around 250 YCS students attended the programme which concluded at 3.30 pm.
