Kundapur, Jul 12: Green Valley National School and PU College, Shiroor, has been conferred the International School Award (ISA) 2015 - 2018, adding yet another feather in its brimming cap.
The award ceremony took place at a distinguished ceremony held at Kepenski Ambience, New Delhi in a packed gathering of British High Commission officials, leading educationalists and school leaders.
The awards were handed over by Bob Lynes, director, British Council India, Susan Douglas, senior education advisor, British Council, Mark Herbert, global head of schools programmes at the British Council, Rittika Chanda Parruck, assistant director of schools programme, Ruchira Gosh, director, South Asia, Cambridge International Examinations and George Glass, deputy director of schools programme at the British Council.
The award was conferred based on the ongoing programmes at Green Valley and the portfolio submitted by the school after successfully completing several International Projects and activities. These projects has been approved and accredited by the British Council as outstanding and Green Valley school has been successfully awarded with the British Council International School Award for the period 2015-18.
The credit for this achievement goes to the managing trustee Syed Abdul Kader Bashu for his commitment to quality education, the principal, ISA coordinator, staff and students of Green Valley, stated a press release.
The International School Award (ISA) is a benchmarking scheme that accredits schools as having an outstanding level of support for:

ISA provides a framework for schools to develop an action plan and implement international activities throughout the year, and encourages schools to collaborate with overseas schools to create a rich learning experience for students through use of ICT, creative pedagogical practices and real context for learning.
International School Award recognises and celebrates exemplary practices of internationalism in schools.
It is noteworthy that a school in remote Shiroor has achieved such international recognition. Green Valley is already licensed by the Duke of Edinburgh Scheme and Trinity College, London.
