Bengaluru, Jul 11: A youth who confessed in a state of intoxication about a crime his maternal uncle had committed six years ago, is cursing himself for taking to liquor. Because, the police have now dug up the old case relating to disappearance of a man, and converted it into murder. The accused has been arrested.

A person had committed murder six years back for frivolous reasons. Mohan from Babusa Palya near Hennur in the city had murdered a person named Selva Kumar (29) in 2009, after differences arose between the two over repayment of petty loan of Rs 300. Selva Kumar's family had thought after he disappeared, that Kumar had deserted the family. Everyone thought that Kumar was alive somewhere.
After Kumarasan, relative of Mohan, revealed the secret behind Selva Kumar's disappearance in a drunken state recently, and proudly listed it as an achievement of his uncle, the listeners were convinced. As this information reached the family of Selva Kumar, the family members approached Hennur police station.
The police took Mohan into custody, questioned him, and came to know about the crime which occurred six years ago. On Friday, Mohan was taken to the spot where Selva Kumar's body had been interred by him, and the mortal remains were dug out, officials said.
