Bengaluru, July 9 (IANS): The Karnataka unit of the AAP has received over 20,000 missed calls in its campaign for the sacking of state Lokayukta Y. Bhaskar Rao since July 5, the party announced on Thursday.
"It is clear that the Lokayukta does not enjoy public confidence to continue in his post. The only reason he is continuing is to use his might to systematically destroy all evidence against him and his son Ashwin Rao," Aam Admi Party spokesperson Ravi Krishna Reddy said at a press conference here.
In addition to a signature campaign, the AAP will hold protests during early mornings at parks and milk booths, during daytime at college gates, and markets and malls in the evenings, the AAP leader said.
The Karnataka Lokayukta is allegedly embroiled in a corruption scandal involving his son.
