Woman accuses husband of forging signature, withdrawing her money

Udupi, Jun 25: A complaint stands filed in Shirva poilce station relating to the alleged fraud committed by a man by withdrawing his wife's deposits from a bank by forging her signature.

Reportedly, Nirmala Shetty from Nitte village in Karkala taluk holds a fixed deposit in a nationalized bank at Shirva jointly with her husband, Santosh Shetty. After differences between them arose a few years back, both had started living separately.

The complaint states that immediately after the maturity date of the fixed deposit in 2005, Santosh Shetty had withdrawn the said fixed deposit, by forging his wife's signature. Nirmala says that a sum of about Rs 1.25 lac was drawn from the bank in the form of fixed deposit closure and withdrawal of money standing in savings bank account.

The Shirva poilce have undertaken investigation.

    when a Joint account is there,and husband draws Money forging her signature?how is possible.?he too has right when Joint account.but she should have cleared when living separate.No use to accuse now.moment,it was it not in 2005 maturity date or 2015?something is wrong here.
