Kasargod: Woman, two children charred to death - Suicide suspected

Kasargod, Jun 22: In a tragic incident, a woman and her two children were found to have been burnt to death at Padanna here. It is suspected that the family of three committed suicide.

Soumya (35), wife of Jaya from Cherukunna in Trikkaripura, and her children, Yadunanda (8) and Devananda (4), lost their lives in this tragedy.

The incident occurred on the evening of Sunday June 21 at the house of Soumya's parents at Mavilakadappura in Padanna. Reportedly, family problems drove the woman to kill her two children before committing suicide.

Soumya had left her husband's home at Cherukunna on Sunday morning with children, and reached her parental home. The three turned into ashes when no one else was at home.

Senior police officers from the district along with police personnel of Chandera station rushed to the spot immediately after they learnt about the incident. Investigation is on.

    I don’t know about her situation, struggles she was facing. but even any situation all don’t have same kind patience, understanding, knowledge to solve problems, suicide is not the option, like that problem than she could stay in some kind ashram work there and keep children with her, I seen like that. Even she shared with someone councilors can get advice and may avoided suicide. may she was facing some kind problems, no one there to support her, in depression she took wrong step. it is hard for alone young women to live good life, people take advantage.
    In society we watch what happening motherless children, some luckily get normal life or best, some get worst.
    Love of mother always make her to think, if I go leaving small kids what will happen for them? May they struggle for mothers love, food, cloths, education, father get new wife, and may he leave children or keep with him, but they will not get real love of fathers too, may step mother will treat like slave, beggar not enough food ….what kind trials, tribulations they will face in society how they will get respect….when growing people will misuse them they will get wrong guidance, may they become …… (Specially for daughter)
    In life there are up downs, especially in marriage, women dreaming love from husband happiness, fellowship, appreciation..and instead of that sometime when newly married they get husband is ruler, controller, commander, alcoholic, under parents, and sometime mother-in-law, sister-in-laws are ruling, treating in joint family….when starting life like that then difficult to lead. Husband is the ruler,in love rule it will work, not in rough and rude. he must not become outside hero and in family life zero.
    Women if can face threat of in-laws if husband with her and give support, love…
    Love can forgive, forget, sacrifice…….

    What a misery !
    Womens protection group ...is there an emergency number to listen to people like soumya !

    Wish there were someone who could hear her worries or sorrows.

    Innocent kids they had to die for thier Mother's sake and for no reason !

    DEPPRESSION IS THE CAUSE !!
    FEEL VERY SORRY FOR THESE INNOCENT KIDS, THEY ARE SO LOVABLE!

    Many people after getting married start complaining to them self's that i deserved much better then this..! & constantly think of attention they use to get get from everyone when they were bachelor.

    Now a days no one cares about any one & have become very selfish. Many people become parents just to post picture on facebook & for the society in general.

    This lady killed her children just to make husband miserable.

    More over its important to maintain mental health & practice meditation to calm our mind..

    @Vicky Dubai,one cannot judge the other without knowing real reason for the suecide.she must have left the husbands house ,cause she self knows.She must have taken th echildren with for not leaving back in misery they might suffer without mother ,certainly not to make husband miserable,even though I condemn this act of her with children strongly.She could have atleast tell mother her Problems could find a way out.many times women can tolerate no more but think suecide is the only way which is quite wrong.God, cant imagine how she managed to charr off her own flesh and blood ,innocent children.Heartfelt sympathy to the Family including husband.May the souls of innocent angels find rest in peace.Hope Soul of mother may find peace in Heaven even though she killed her children.

    OMG. Why did she kill the children. Look at children pics,its so cute and innocent. Children are Gods, they are innocent. At least somebody would taken care of children.

    So do you think what she has done is right ??What are you talking about?? If she wanted to do the same, than wi she has given birth to children?? what has children do to us??? They are still good people or relatives who can take care ok. May be you have not noticed such people. So you conclude mass suicide is the best option??

    Whatever she done is 100% wrong but when she took this step she was not in her consciousness (under depression or she was not able to think what is right and what is wrong). She loved her children very much and she knew that nobody love and look after her children like a mother.

    If she had approached any of the organizations / doctors or if she discussed with her parents about her troubles / problems they would have helped her, but anyway it is too late. We can only say RIP.
