Santiago, June 19 (IANS): Coach Jorge Sampaoli has insisted that Chile will not change their style of play as they prepare for their final Copa America Group A football match against Bolivia later on Friday.
The hosts had to settle for a 3-3 draw with Mexico earlier this week after beating Ecuador 2-0 in their opening game, but Sampaoli has no intention to employ more defensive tactics.
"Ever since we started our preparation for the Copa, there has not been a single day where we did not think about our games. We are only thinking about the match. The team is committed to the people and to winning the tournament. We want to beat Bolivia to win the group," Sampaoli said at a press conference on Thursday.
"We will not change our style of play. Our style is not negotiable. We were always attacking versus Mexico and conceded some bad goals. They deserved to equalise. But we will not change. I think this Chile will be remembered for the way it played."
Chile and Bolivia currently share top spot in Group A with four points from two games.
