Montreal, June 8 (IANS): Red Bull driver Daniil Kvyat believes achieving two points at the Formula 1 Canadian Grand Prix is the best he could have done given the under-powered cars they were driving.
Kvyat finished ninth in the race on Sunday, four places ahead of his teammate at the 4.3 km Circuit Gilles Villeneuve.
"Two championship points is the best we could have achieved. The team did a good job but we obviously have to improve in many areas including the power unit,” the 21-year-old said.
The Russian said it was a tough 70 lap race at the street circuit, adding that with great difficulty they had managed to keep two Mercedes powered cars behind them for sometime.
“It was a tough race because the Mercedes powered cars had a clear advantage over us, but we managed to keep two of them behind us which is the maximum we could have done.”
