Dhaka, June 4 (IANS): Bangladesh's One-Day International (ODI) skipper Mashrafe Bin Mortaza sustained "minor injuries" ahead of India's tour after a bus rammed into a rickshaw in which he was travelling here on Thursday.
The pacer was on his way to practice at Mirpur Sher-e-Bangla Stadium when the accident occurred. Both his arms were injured when he fell off the rickshaw, reports bdnews24.com.
Mashrafe later said his injuries were not serious but sustained got bruises on his hands due to the fall.
"There are no fractures. Hope there is no danger now," he said.
A Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) official said though they were not expecting to find anything serious, Mashrafe would be taken to hospital for proper check-up.
Mashrafe is not included in the squad for the one-match Test series against India commencing from June 10 at Fatullah's Khan Shaheb Osman Ali stadium.
The three-match ODI series will start at Sher-e-Bangla Stadium on June 18. The remaining two day-night matches will be played at the same venue on June 21 and 24.
