Kuwait April 14: Tulu Koota Kuwait under the president ship of Satishchandra Shetty  organized a “Family Get together” at the Mishref Garden on 13th April 2007 from 10.00 am onwards. The day long event was well organized with a lot of sporting activities for all age groups.



Program commenced with the Sports Secretary of Tulu Koota, Harish Bhandary striking the ball to ‘LAGORI’ a traditional Tulunadu game. Various games like Lagori, Jibili, Kabaddi, Throw Ball, Goli, Kuttidonne, Breaking the pot, Volleyball, Lemon race, Housie Housie, Volleyball were organized for the adult category while the kids below 6 were busy with Coin search and Musical Chair and the sporting activates.



For children in the age group category  6 to 12 years had running race, Lemon, Needle thread race, Single wicket race, Potato race and sack race were the sporting activities. Tarai Katta was played throughout the event. Main attraction was the Jaru Kamba and tug of war for the children. Three leg race, Eating Banana and Baloon race games were organized for couples.



Tharendra Shettigar, lancy Rodrigues and Helen Pinto ably compered the whole day event. Typical Mangalorean delicacies were served by Oriental Restaurant.



The event included 5 special prizes for those who speak better Tulu.
