Dubai, May 30: 'Kemmannu Flowers UAE', a fast growing group of Kemmanites celebrated a day-long programme 'Kemmannu Fiesta-2015' with great enthusiasm, on the occasion of their ninth anniversary at Al Manzal ballroom of London Suites Hotel AL Wasal Club, Dubai, UAE.
The programme began at around 1 pm with a prayer song by members Clarice D'Souza, Rony D'Souza, Melwyn Fernandes and Ida Fernandes followed by welcome speech by the president Melwyn Fernandes.
Main sponsor Frank Fernandes managing director of Mosaco Shipping & Forwarding and Walter Nandalike, CEO and editor-in-chief of www.daijiworld.com, and Dayan D'Souza who were the chief guests on the occasion, were honored by the president and the secretary with bouquets.
The organizers also held a brief felicitation to Frank Fernandes, main sponsor with a brief note by secretary Clarice D'Souza. Frank Fernandes addressed the crowd with a meaningful message and advise which touched the hearts of the audience.
Addressing the gathering, Walter Nandalike admired the Kemmannu Flowers for their thoughtfulness in honouring Frank Fernandes and wished them a bright future and success in their endeavours.
The organizers honoured and thanked the main sponsor M/s Mosaco Shipping & Forwarding LLC, and all co-sponsors - Joseph Mathias, managing director of Merit Shipping, Thonse Health Centre's B M Zaffar and Chilly Willy managing director Satish Venkataramana with his mother who arrived from Kemmannu and well-wishers - with bouquets.
Frank Fernandes released 'Ek Geet' music album by Kevin Misquith. 'Ek Geet' with its nine songs promises to enthrall music lovers with a wide variety of songs.
Well-known band 'Party Spinners' thrilled the crowd with their melodius songs and exciting dance numbers. Anu Bantwal, the master of ceremony did the job well.
Budding kids Melaida and Maclene showcased their talent with amazing dances and songs. The hilarious comedy skits by Stany D'Cunha and party and Melwyn and party left the crowd in splits.
The day continued with some memorable Mangalurean and Hindi numbers, which were thoroughly enjoyed by the crowd. The grand finale came in the form of a novelty dance and live Mangalurean Baila dance, which was a thriller to witness, an expression of ecstasy and true joy at a celebration so wonderful and enthralling.
Spot prizes, novelty dances with fabulous prizes and a sumptuous buffet lunch were other highlights of the event. More than 140 people participated and enjoyed the memorable show, which was a grand success. With a heartfelt vote of thanks, the fun-filled and much awaited event 'Kemmannu Fest 2015' came to an end at 5.30 pm.
