Mumbai, May 22 (IANS): Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, who successfully underwent arthroscopic surgery on hisleft knee on Thursday at a hospital here, thanked his well-wishers for standing by him during his tough time.
“Do they do Fequent Fliers Miles in Hospitals? If yes, I would own some of the hospitals! Thx all for standing by me as I pray on my knees…,” tweeted the 49-year-old, who has been advised complete rest for three to four days.
The actor underwent the surgery at the Breach Candy Hospital on Thursday.
Sanjay Desai, who operated the superstar, said that the “Baadshah” of Bollywood was suffering from repeated pain and swelling of left knee over the last several months and the surgery confirmed “chondral wear of Patella, which is due to repeated injuries over the last few years.”
But now the Shah Rukh, who was busy shooting for "Raees" until before the surgery, has been discharged and is taking rest at her residence here.
