Mumbai, May 21: As people gravitate towards, the endearing story of Piku and away from the street fighter of Bombay Velvet (BV), Ranbir Kapoor talks of his rising insecurities about the lull in his career.

Ranbir reportedly said, "There's a sense of insecurity that's starting to trend inside of me. I'm feeling a sense of friction where I really don't know what's happening with my career. I know what's happening with my work but I don't know what's going to happen with my career," Ranbir's previous films - Besharam and Roy haven't done well at all and BV just notches itself third consecutive flop in his career. His last hit movie was Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani (YJHD) with Deepika Padukone, two years ago.

The much talked about and breathlessly awaited, BV, despite its flamboyance, Karan Johar's acting debut and majestic recreation of a Bombay that was, has failed to impress the audiences. The movie that cost its producers quite a pretty penny (Rs. 80 - 100 crores) has barely scraped together Rs. 20 crores in its first week. The movie, shockingly opened to empty theatres and has had poor reviews coming its way.

Ranbir, mighr just be able to salvage a part of his bankability with the rest of his films, that are poised for release. There is Tamasha with Deepika P., Rockstar with director Imtiaz Ali and Jagga Jasoos with Katrina Kaif.
