Bengaluru, May 19: “My autobiography will reveal everything. There is nothing to hide in that. I will try my best to bring it out by August 15,” said H D Deve Gowda, former prime minister in Bengaluru.
Gowda who celebrated his 83rd birthday was speaking to reporters during the simple celebration. “My struggle will continue till the next Vidhan Sabha elections. I will build the party in such a way that it will win the next elections,” Gowda added.
“Power comes and goes. It is not permanent. Some people ask me why I work at this ripe age. I work because people want me to work. I have their blessing with me. The party workers are the backbones of our party. What matters in life is what you have done for the society when you are alive,” Deve Gowda spoke about power.
“Normally I go to Tirupati every year on my birthday. But this year I could not go due to health issues. I prayed here only with my wife,“ he said.
Deve Gowda in a rare gesture, praised Prime Minister Modi. He said “ Narendra Modi has changed. The same people, who were running the government in Gujarat when the massacre took place in 2012, are ruling the country now. But I feel that Modi has changed.”
