Bengaluru, May 12: Udupi district has emerged topper in the Karnataka SSLC exams held this year, with Chikkodi coming second and Uttara Kannada third. The results were anounced on Tuesday May 12.

The pass percentage is 81.82 % among the the total students appeared for exams. Gadag is at the bottom of the list in terms of pass percentage.
77.85% of the boys have managed to pass the crucial exams while the girls have overtaken them with 86.32 %.
Udupi has secured 93.37% while Chikkodi has achieved 93.32 percent. Dakshina Kannada stands eighth with a pass percentage of 89.35%.
A total of 8.56 lacs students had appeared for the SSLC examination this year. Out of the total candidates who appeared, 8.07 lacs students are first-timers, 16,337 private candidates and the rest were repeaters.
Vishwajith Hegde of Lions School, Sirsi, Uttara Kannada has topped the state with 623 marks. He has scored 100 in mathematics, Sanskrit, science and social studies.
Highest scorers in every taluk will get laptops. A total of 1,434 students have secured 100 in mathematics.
36 schools in the state have attained the zero percentage in results.
