Washington, May 4 (IANS): Olympic ski champion Lindsey Vonn and pro golfer Tiger Woods have announced that they have ended their three-year romantic relationship.
"After nearly three years together, Tiger and I have mutually decided to end our relationship," Vonn said on Sunday on her Facebook page, reports Efe.
"I will always cherish the memories that we've created together. Unfortunately, we both lead incredibly hectic lives that force us to spend a majority of our time apart. He and his beautiful family will always hold a special place in my heart," she added.
Woods echoed Vonn's remarks on his own web page, saying: "Lindsey and I have mutually decided to stop dating. I have great admiration, respect and love for Lindsey and I'll always cherish our time together."
"She has been amazing with Sam and Charlie (children) and my entire family. Unfortunately, we lead very hectic lives and are both competing in demanding sports. It's difficult to spend time together," he said.
Vonn this year set the record for most World Cup titles. She is also an Olympic champion and two-time world skiing champ.
Woods has won 14 "majors" on the golf circuit: four Masters, four PGS championships, three British Opens and three US Opens.
Both are divorced and both have recently been recovering from injuries.
