Mumbai, April 27 (IANS): Mumbai Indians skipper Rohit Sharma on Monday said he is praying for the people affected by the Nepal earthquake.
More than 3,500 people have died while 6,500 have been injured in the earthquakes and aftershocks which rocked the Himalayan nation over the weekend.
“What happened in Nepal is really a sad thing. It was an unexpected incident. As doctors and other helping hands have reached Nepal, it is good news and a good feeling that many countries are coming to help Nepal,” Rohit said here on Monday.
The 27-year-old was also happy that the Indian government has come forward to help Nepal in this time of crisis.
“The Indian government has also sent air force and doctors to help Nepal. It feels good that we are trying to help. I wish all people out there get out of this crisis and everything calms down in Nepal,” Rohit said.
