New Delhi, April 27 (IANS): Awarded man of the match for his excellent bowling, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) pacer Varun Aaron on Sunday said his team had set a target to take early wickets and everything went as planned in their Indian Premier League (IPL) encounter against Delhi Daredevils.
With RCB pacers Mitchell Starc (3/20), Aaron (2/24) and David Wiese (2/18) bowling their hearts out, Delhi Daredevils were skittled out for a meagre 95 in 18.2 overs.
In reply, Chris Gayle (62 off 40 balls) and skipper Virat Kohli (35 off 23 balls) chased down the score in just 10.3 overs with 10 wickets in hand.
"It really came together today. We have been planning to get wickets early and that's what happened today.
"It's important to get wickets early if we have to win games, and we were able to do that. The body is holding up and touchwood I stay fit," Aaron said at the post-match presentation ceremony here.
