Air India Express allows 30 kg luggage from Gulf to India destinations

Daijiworld Media Network - Dubai

Dubai, Apr 26: Air India Express is now offering 30 kg free baggage allowance on all its flights from Gulf and the Middle East to India upto May 31, 2015.

So far only 20 kg luggage was allowed on all AI Express flights.

All passengers will be eligible for 30 kg free baggage allowance (FBA) irrespective of the ticketing date.

In a written communication from Air India Middle East office, it is informed that those who want to take another 10 kg extra (apart from the free 30 kg) can pay additional AED 100 at any Air India office across UAE or pay AED 150 at the airport at the time of departure.

Passengers who have already paid for additional 10 kg of baggage will now be permitted to carry 10 kg in addition to 30 kg (that is total 40 kg).

However, luggage allowance from India to Gulf destinations would remain the same (20 kg), as no new additional allowance has been declared.

@Derek..Well a lecture from you isnt what we want here....there are thousand of quotes .....when a poor labourer is travelling home to see his family and is treated badly,do you want him to be certified eligible for respect MR.....?? It is humanity....No one sees the real character, that we distinguish who is really eligible for respect or not in 5min in the counter. Some live in suits and posh homes others in moderate clothes and small houses....who deserves respect......

Instead of the drama of baggage allowance, let the air india officials improve their manners and stop treating people as if they are travelling for free....they are rude and disrespectful...especially in the dammam sector

According to me they should also consider the weight of passengers too when taking into account the total baggage weight, coz it would also try to make the passengers healthy.
