Kundapur, Mar 22: A girl from a village in the taluk, who is endowed with captivating eyes, attractive features, mercurial movements and intelligence has risen to bag South India Queen Miss Beautiful Eyes - 2015 title in the beauty pageant that was held at Bengaluru recently.
This beauty, who has become famous all over India with her extraordinary looks, intelligence and mannerisms, is none other than Seema Buthello, a techie by profession.
Seema, who hogged limelight because of her talents and capacity even during her college days, has now become the cynosure of all eyes. In the South India Queen Miss Beautiful Eyes pageant, she humbled the challenge posed by her illustrious opponents and wore the crown for this year befittingly.
Seema dreams of winning global recognition through her beauty consciousness. As her talent and interests got suitable support and encouragement, she has scaled dizzy heights, and her god-gifted divine beauty is getting the adulation it richly deserves. In the initial round of 'South India Queen - 2015' held at Hotel Brigadier Bengaluru on January 18 this year, Seema emerged as the first runner up, and therefore, became eligible for the finals. At the finals of the pageant organized at Bengaluru on February 5 and 7, she participated with high hopes of annexing the trophy. About 25 contestants from Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana, took part in the finals. The finals had kicked up lot of interest, and at the end, Seema, was declared first runner up of Karnataka Queen 2015.
The finals of South India Queen Miss Beautiful Eyes contest was organized on March 14 this year at Chowdaiah Memorial Hall, Bengaluru. She won the contest and catapulted her native place, Gujjadi, along with herself, to national fame. Her electrifying ramp walk which lighted up the atmosphere and her enchanting eyes won the hearts of judges and the audience.
Seema is the daughter of Valerian Buthello, a social activist from Gujjadi, and Celina Buthello. She studied at the government higher primary school Gujjadi till the third standard, fourth to seventh standard at St Joseph Higher Primary School, Gangolli, and from eighth to tenth standard at Stella Mary's High School. She completed PU education in S V College Gangolli, and secured her BA degree in 2007 through Bhandarkar's College Kundapur. She then secured her MBA degree through Karnataka State Open University, and presently works as project manager of an IT company at Bengaluru.
Seema entered the glamour world for the first time this year, and has hit the jackpot. She blossomed in cultural field in which environment she grew up, since the year 1997. Besides functioning as a host for a number of programmes, she had also worked as programme presented in a local TV channel. Seema, who is gifted with fluency of language and artistic oratory skills, had also acted in the short film, 'Dream Girl', directed by Vinod Gangolli. Her brilliance has won her several awards including the one from Sandesha Educational and Cultural Foundation Mangaluru at 'Kalotsava - 1997'.
Seema wants to continue to make strides in her professional life, while keeping her hobbies, modelling and acting, alive. She confesses that she could get so far because of wholehearted support and encouragement received from her parents. She says that she has been moving forward, buoyed by the confidence reposed on her by her parents, and her own self-confidence. She added that she already has received offers for acting in TV series. 'If I get decent offers to act in good regional films, I will positively consider such an option,' she explained.
Her parents, who are proud of their daughter, pat her back for being a brave girl. Valerian Buthello runs shop dealing in building materials and stationery items at Gujjadi, besides getting engaged in lot of social work. Admitting people with mental problems to hospitals, extending immediate help in case of accidents etc have been his way of serving the society. He had served as Gujjadi gram panchayat member in 2005. He also had won 'Talent Milad Award' in 2012. Seema's elder brother, Vivek Sylvester, works in a software firm at Mumbai.
Seema has made Gujjadi, Kundapur, Udupi, and Karnataka proud. She has forayed into the field of glamour with a bang and made an indelible mark. Let us wish her best of luck for future.
