Mangaluru, Mar 15: To mark his 50th birthday celebration, Mohiuddin Bava, MLA of Mangaluru North organized a mega job fair at Bava's College at Kuloor here on Sunday March 15.
Hephsiba Rani Korlapati, commissioner of MCC wished Mohiuddin Bava on his birthday and said, "Job fair is a good programme. It will help youngsters who are looking for jobs. If I have reached this position today it is because my goals and priorities were clear. I suggest all aspiring youngsters to have a clear goals."
Jacintha Alfred, mayor of MCC said, "Mohiuddin Bava is celebrating his 50th birthday in a unique way with a job fair. This will help many job aspirants to find a suitable job. I wish him continues his good work for many more years."
Deputy mayor Purushottam Chitrapur also wished Bava on his birthday and said, "Bava has done really appreciable work. He has been always working hard to solve the problems of people in his constituency. In our district, students find it hard to get a job after their studies. This job fair will help many students."
Speaking on the occasion, Mohiuddin Bava said, "I wanted to give something back to the society on my birthday. Nothing would be better than conducting a job fair on this day. I have seen youngsters coming to me with their parents in search of jobs. So I arranged this job fair which will help youngsters from the district. Mangaluru North has given a clear message to the whole state by choosing me though I come from a minority community. I will ensure that the people of my constituency will get the best out of me.
"My constituency has many industries, but in spite of that people from this district are not finding jobs. The industries are employing people from other states and that has caused unemployment among our youngsters. I have ordered them to give jobs to locals and I will not compromise on this issue. Today 70 companies have come here. Some of the companies are from Middle East. On April 12, there will be a 'Saadana Samavesha' in my constituency and the chief minister is expected to attend the programme," he said.
More than 2,000 job aspirants took part in the fair.
Mohammed Nazir, MUDA commissioner, Afzal Ahmed Khan, regional transport officer, Mohan Rao, tahsildar Mohan Rao, Melvin, zilla panchayat member, Utham Alva, Youth Congress president, corporators, Bashir, Mohammed Kunjathabail, Deepak Poojary, Prathiba Kulai and Fatheulla, businessman from Gulf and others were present.
