Udupi: Speeding car topples in NH 66 at Kaup, two injured

Udupi, Mar 14: Speeding car toppled after hitting the electric pole when the car driver lost control while driving in NH 66 at Kaup, Kopalangadi here on Saturday March 14.

Two persons were injured in the accident. They were admitted to a private hospital. Kaup police intervened and cleared the traffic inconvenience which prevailed after the accident.

It is learnt that the unscientific diversion in NH 66 was the cause of the accidents which have been reported continuously at the spot.

It has been brought to the notice of the concerned authority but no action has been taken to stop the accident at the spot.

    I just drove on the Mangalore - Udupi highway 2 days back and i feel that the diversions are well guided.. one can see a diversion of 200m ahead board. Also one is aware of the ongoing highway work on the highway. So it naturally becomes the duty of the driver to drive with caution rather than drive with speeds that tend to cause such accidents.

    Such accidents is definitely recklessness on the drivers part, rather then the authorities.
