Mangaluru: Tipper knocks down tempo seriously injuring driver

Mangaluru, Mar 14: A 3 wheeler tempo was knocked down by a tipper truck on Saturday morning seriously injuring the driver of the tempo.


The tempo which was on its way  from Bunder to Uppal carrying fish was hit by the tipper. The tipper is said to be engaged in road work on the highway. The impact of the accident was such that the tempo turned upside down to settle on the road.

The accident took place at Jappinamogaru on Mangaluru- Kerala highway.

The driver of the tipper fled from the accident scene.

Tempo driver Moideen (40) has been admitted to the hospital with serious injuries.

Kankanady rural police have registered the case.

    Forget about the families who miss fish curry but just think of the family of the tempo driver and the families who depend upon the returns from the sale of that fish.
