Mift College to hold fashion walk for special kids at Kadri Park on Mar 14

Mangaluru, Mar 12: Mift College, Attavar will organise a fashion walk for blind and special kids 'Walk with Confidence' at Kadri Park, on Saturday March 14 at 6 pm.

Director of Mift College, M G Hegde organised a press meet to brief about the event on Thursday March 12 at Mift College, Attavar.

Addressing the media, Hegde said, "Blind and differently abled kids from Roman Catharine Lobo School and Sanidhya schools are going to take part in the fashion show. This is something that the society has never seen it before and this is not for the commercial gain. These kids should know how it is to perform in the society and people should understand their problems".

"This is the first time we are organising something unique which no other college has ever done it before. Former mayor Mahabala Maarla will inaugurate this ceremony and B Nagaraj Shetty former minister and chairman of Mandev Educational and Charitable trust will preside", he added.

Calistus D'Souza, principal of Roman Catharine Lobo School, Damodar general manager of Kanva Credit co-operative society, Swarna Sunder, Avinash Rai and other guests will be present on the occasion.

Mift convener Ramesh K, fashion design lecturer Sampath and Suhas, detective science lecturer Vivek and others were also present during the press meet.
