Mumbai, Mar 12: Dr Chandraprakash Dwivedi has proclaimed to be 'uncomfortable' with the way the Board has worked on the movie NH10 and has openly lashed out at the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) for not consulting the members of the board.

Dr Dwivedi has said that the CBFC had not had the list of words that needed to be banned ready before the movie was brought to the table. He further added that the list which needed to be put together with the collective decision of all the board members, without considering the perspectives of their members. The film underwent nine cuts by the CBFC and has been pushed back a week from its initial release date.

Dr Dwivedi, in his open letter on the subject wrote, "I have started feeling uncomfortable of being a part of an esteemed institution where, collective decision of the board is ignored or collective voice is unheard." He also proclaimed the cuts made on the Anushka Sharma starrer to be a violation of trust because the list of the words to be banned was issued without unanimous consent of the Board's members. The matter now lies in the hands of Rajyavardhan Rathore, Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting who is yet to make a statement or decide on the matter.

NH10 is poised for release as of tomorrow, starring Anushka Sharma, Neil Bhoopalam, Deepti Navala and Darshan Kumaar.
